After Jobs and Industries, AAP Leaders Now Eyeing Punjabi’s Land: Dr. Subhash Sharma

Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab BJP Vice President Dr. Subhash Sharma launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that after losing the elections in Delhi, AAP leaders have camped in Punjab and are now openly looting the state’s resources. He said that after taking control over jobs, industries, and mining, the AAP’s next target is the land of Punjabis.
Addressing a farmers’ protest organized by the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee at village Jhandehri against the alleged forcible acquisition of 276 acres of land by the Punjab government, Dr. Sharma asserted that not an inch of land will be allowed to be occupied under any circumstances. He accused AAP leaders from Delhi of monopolizing the liquor and mining businesses in Punjab.
He claimed that fake liquor is being sold under the guise of legitimate business operations, leading to the deaths of over 25 people in Amritsar and two more in Ludhiana recently. According to him, the entire liquor network is being run from Delhi.
Speaking on the issue of employment, Dr. Sharma pointed out that advisors being appointed with monthly salaries ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh are non-Punjabis. He added that regions like Ropar, Kharar, and Banga are now under the grip of AAP’s sand mining operations.
Calling the Land Pooling Act a “well-planned conspiracy,” Dr. Sharma alleged that through agencies like GMADA, PUDA, and Improvement Trusts, Punjabi lands are being gradually usurped. He directly accused Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Bhagwant Mann of plotting a massive land scam in the state.
He further said that the government’s promise of making Punjab drug-free by May 31 has turned out to be an empty slogan. Even today, drugs are being openly sold in villages and cities. Commenting on the law and order situation, he said the murder of a Shiromani Akali Dal councillor in Amritsar and recent bomb blast incidents reflect the complete breakdown of law and order in the state.
Dr. Sharma called upon the people of Punjab to unite and fight against this corrupt and anarchic government.
