Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid Medical University Stopped from Flying to UK

Faridkot (The Uttam Hindu): The Vigilance Department has stopped Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid Medical University of Health Sciences Rajiv Sood from going to England. Actually, the Vigilance Department is investigating the purchase of modern machinery worth crores of rupees in Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital and other scams. This investigation is going on under the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

In June 2023, Dr. Rajiv Sood was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The post of Vice Chancellor was lying vacant since the resignation of Dr. Raj Bahadur. Dr. Rajiv Sood was appointed for three years. In fact, Punjab Vigilance had received complaints of scams and irregularities in the purchase of equipment.
