Big News for Punjab Women: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Announces Rs 1,100 Monthly Allowance, starting soon

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government has begun preparations to fulfill its promise of providing ₹1,100 per month to women. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in an interview that the scheme will be launched in the budget session in March next year.

CM Mann said that his government has already fulfilled several guarantees and that work on this has also begun. However, opposition parties have consistently cornered the government on this issue.

It's also worth noting that the Punjab government announced a ₹1,100 grant in 2022, but Himachal Pradesh has already begun giving ₹1,500 to women over the age of 18. Meanwhile, in Haryana, women over the age of 21 will begin receiving ₹2,100 from November 1st.
