Bikram Majithia's Residence Raided Again: Vigilance Department Intensifies Probe

Amritsar(The Uttam Hindu): The Vigilance Department has again conducted a raid on the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader Bikram Majithia in Amritsar. The raid was carried out with a heavy police force and the area was completely sealed during the operation.

Majithia is currently lodged in Nabha jail in connection with a case related to alleged disproportionate assets worth over Rs 540 crore. He has been demanding separate accommodation in the jail, citing his status as a former cabinet minister and seeking Orange category security.

Majithia's judicial custody is set to end on July 19, and it remains to be seen whether the Vigilance Department will seek his remand again. The development has sparked interest in the case, with many eyes on the outcome.
