Blood donation camp organized in Patiala in memory of Dhruv Pandove; 167 people donated blood

Patiala(The Uttam Hindu): A blood donation camp was organized today by the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Trust in memory of the great cricketer Dhruv Pandove. 167 players and citizens participated in this noble cause by donating blood.
The Dhruv Pandove Cricket Trust was established in memory of young cricketer Dhruv Pandove, who passed away in a road accident near Ambala on January 30, 1992. At the young age of 14, he played in the Ranji Trophy for Punjab and held the record for being the youngest player to score a century and complete 1,000 first-class runs.
Dhruv Pandove was a left-handed opening batsman and an effective right-arm leg-spin bowler. He was a contemporary of legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, and Rahul Dravid, and had won the Asia Cup with the Indian youth team.

The camp was inaugurated by S. Sukhwinder Singh Chauhan (AIG - Excise and Taxation, Punjab). Renowned personalities from the Punjabi film industry, S. Hobby Dhaliwal and Mrs. Sunita Dheeran, also congratulated the young blood donors for their noble act.
The Trust also helps needy cricketers and other individuals associated with sports. Shri Narinderpal Verma (Lalli), President of the District Chemists Association Patiala, and other social workers made significant contributions to the successful organization of this camp.
