Soon after the threatening message was received, school authorities alerted the Chandigarh Police, leading to heightened security measures. Keeping student safety as the top priority, some schools announced immediate holidays, while others safely evacuated students and began thorough checks of their campuses.

Chitkara and St Stephen’s among five targeted schools

According to sources, the schools that received the threat include Chitkara International School in Sector 25 and St Stephen’s Public School in Sector 45, along with three other schools in the city. Cyber cell probes email, police urge calm

The Chandigarh Police cyber cell has begun a technical investigation into the threatening email to trace its source, server, and location. Officials believe it could be a hoax threat, but no chances are being taken due to the seriousness of the matter. Meanwhile, police and school authorities have urged parents and the public to remain calm and avoid spreading or believing rumors. Citizens have been advised to rely only on official updates.
