Hoshiarpur (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident occurred early Saturday morning on the Dasuya main road near Adda Dosadak in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district. A head-on collision between a bus and a car claimed the lives of four people, while one person sustained serious injuries.

The accident took place around 4 a.m. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely crushed. All the occupants of the car were residents of the Daulatpur area in Himachal Pradesh. After receiving information, police reached the spot, took custody of the bodies, and shifted them to the hospital mortuary. The injured person is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

According to available details, the victims were travelling in a car bearing registration number HP-72-6869. The deceased have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh (45), son of Harnam Singh; Sushil Kumar (46), son of Desraj; Brij Kumar (38), son of Mahinder Kumar; and Arun Kumar (45), son of Gurpal Singh. All were residents of village Challet, Daulatpur, Himachal Pradesh. They were on their way to drop Amrit Kumar at Amritsar airport for an overseas journey.

As the car reached near Adda Dosadak, it collided head-on with a Punjab Roadways bus coming from Dasuya towards Hoshiarpur. Four car occupants died on the spot, while Amrit Kumar was critically injured. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
