Nangal (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains visited the flood-affected area of Belia in Nangal, where he met with villagers and took stock of their problems. Mr. Bains said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government stands firmly with the people in this time of natural disaster. He himself is visiting dozens of villages daily to review the relief arrangements and facilities being provided at the camps. He emphasized that addressing the problems of every citizen and livestock is the government’s responsibility, adding that they are working day and night in the service of the people. He prayed to Waheguru for relief and for normal life to be restored soon. During the visit, he enquired about the well-being of the villagers and directed concerned officials to expedite the pending works.

Meanwhile, at village Singhpur Palasi, Balwinder Singh expressed his distress before Minister Bains, stating that he had been suffering from physical ailments for a long time and was living in great hardship. He requested to be admitted to a hospital as the flood-like situation in the village had worsened his condition. Responding with compassion, the Minister immediately instructed the concerned officials to take necessary action, and Balwinder Singh was promptly shifted to Nangal Government Hospital in a government vehicle.

The villagers present on the occasion highly appreciated the Minister’s quick response and his sensitive approach towards the people. They said that Harjot Singh Bains always comes forward to help and maintains direct contact with the public.

On this occasion, Minister Bains stated that the Punjab Government is listening to people’s problems with seriousness and assured that no one in distress will be left alone.
