CBOA General Secretary Mr. Ravi Kumar K. Visits Chandigarh : Appreciates Employees, Discusses Officers' Welfare and Emphasizes Collective Progress

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Mr. Ravi Kumar K., General Secretary of the Canara Bank Officers' Association (CBOA), visited Chandigarh for a two-day program on September 20–21, 2025. During the program, he met with Canara Bank employees and officers, appreciated their contributions and delivered an inspiring message for the organization's collective progress.
Mr. Ravi Kumar K. interacted with employees at the Canara Bank Circle Office, Chandigarh, and delivered an encouraging address. He said: "If Canara Bank's business is growing day by day, the credit goes to every employee. Canara Bank's balance sheet is not written in the boardroom, but by the hands of employees who work tirelessly on the ground."
He made special mention of the success of the 'Each One Source Ten' campaign, which mobilized deposits of ₹18,000 crore in just three months. Describing it as "another achievement for Canara Bank," he said that this success was possible only through the collective efforts of management and employees. The General Secretary also expressed optimism regarding issues related to officer welfare:
Five-day banking: A progressive step in line with global standards.
Work-life balance: Constructive discussions between management and the union will lead to practical improvements soon.
PLI scheme: Helpful in motivating employees and growing the business.
Industrial issues: Meaningful efforts on staffing, career progression and technological upgradation.
Describing the Chandigarh CBOA unit as "the strongest unit in the country," he invited all members to the Members' Meet to be held on September 21st at Hotel Pearl.

The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Manoj Kumar Das, General Manager, Canara Bank Circle Office, Chandigarh, praised the role of officers in his address. "Canara Bank's true strength lies in its people. Your dedication, professionalism, and teamwork have ensured the bank's progress even under difficult circumstances. The officers' association has played a vital role in strengthening unity and constructively addressing employee concerns." He added: "The banking sector is undergoing rapid changes.
At this time, we must embrace digital technologies, focus on customer service, and prepare ourselves for future challenges. With this spirit, Canara Bank will continue to stand as a leading public sector bank in the times to come." In his keynote address, Mr. Ravi Kumar K. reiterated that Canara Bank's strength lies in its people. He said: "This CBOA is not driven by an 'I,' but by all of you. You are the ones who make this organization what it is today." The event also included an interactive session with officers, discussing issues related to staffing, digital transformation, work-life balance, and well-being. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chandigarh Circle Unit leadership, expressing gratitude to General Secretary Mr. Ravi Kumar and Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Kumar Das for their guidance and inspiration. --
