Punjab and Haryana High Court receives bomb threat after BJP office attack, security tightened
Security agencies are on high alert, and sensitive locations, including the High Court, are being thoroughly searched. Authorities are investigating possible connections between the blast and the threat

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu) : The investigation into the blast outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters in Sector 37 has revealed a significant revelation. According to security sources, the explosive used in the attack was a GHD2P hand grenade, manufactured in Pakistan. Now, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has received another bomb threat.
This is the fourth time the Punjab and Haryana High Court has received a bomb threat. This time, the threatening email was sent to the police headquarters, while the previous three emails were received on the official email address of the High Court Registrar.
Meanwhile, in the case of the blast outside the BJP's state headquarters, investigating agencies revealed that the grenade has a lethal effect within a radius of 5 to 10 meters after detonation, while its shrapnel can spread up to 20 to 25 meters. Therefore, this attack could have proved extremely fatal for those nearby.
Meanwhile, two new CCTV videos related to the incident have also surfaced. The first video shows two suspicious individuals standing outside another office near the BJP office minutes before the attack. The second video shows the two suspects crossing the street and fleeing the scene immediately after the explosion. Police are working to identify the suspects based on these footage. Following the incident, security agencies are on alert, and sensitive locations, including the High Court, are being thoroughly searched. Police and intelligence agencies are also investigating any possible connection between the blast and the threat.
