IPS Sagar Preet Hooda Assumes Charge as Chandigarh Director General of Police

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Chandigarh Police got new leadership today when senior IPS officer Sagar Preet Hooda took over as Director General of Police (DGP). On this occasion, a grand welcome parade was organized at RTC Police Line, Sector 26, where the police force welcomed its new chief with full discipline and dignity.

Senior police officers, jawans and other staff were present in large numbers in the parade. The police force not only honored DGP Hooda through their performance but also showed their commitment towards him.

Mr. Sagar Preet Hooda is an experienced police officer and has given impressive services in many important positions before. Now the reins of law and order of Chandigarh are in his hands. Under his leadership, the security system of the city is expected to get a new direction.

In his address during the event, DGP Hooda said:

“Making Chandigarh Police an ideal force and keeping it at the forefront of public service will be our top priority. Earning the trust of the public and providing them a safe environment will be our main objective.”

Local citizens, departmental officials and police personnel congratulated DGP Hooda and expressed hope that his experience and leadership will make Chandigarh's security system more robust and sensitive.
