Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): Tourists planning to witness the popular retreat ceremony at the India–Pakistan international border in Punjab should take note of an important update. The administration has revised the timing of the daily ceremony held at Attari Border. Under the new arrangement, the ceremony will now begin 30 minutes later than earlier.

Sharing details of the change, Protocol Officer Arun Mahal said the decision was taken in view of changing weather conditions and the convenience of the large number of visitors who attend the event every evening. As per the revised schedule, the retreat ceremony will now be held from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Earlier, it used to take place from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

The change in timing is expected to give visitors additional time to reach the venue and take their seats comfortably. Every day, a large number of people from across the country and abroad gather to watch this ceremonial display by Indian and Pakistani soldiers.

The administration has urged visitors to strictly follow the new timing to avoid confusion or inconvenience. Reaching the border as per the revised schedule will help spectators enjoy the ceremony smoothly and without any disruption.
