Congress Keeps Killers By Their Side While Pretending to Talk About Justice, Rahul Gandhi Must Apologize to the Sikh Community: AAP

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party over the presence of Jagdish Tytler, accused in the 1984 Sikh massacre, at an Independence Day event alongside Rahul Gandhi. Senior AAP leaders Baltej Pannu and Neel Garg accused Congress of double standards and of rubbing salt into the wounds of Sikhs, demanding an immediate apology from Rahul Gandhi.
Senior AAP leader Baltej Pannu said that it has always been Congress’ priority to shield those responsible for the 1984 massacre. He said that during the Independence Day celebrations, the man hiding behind Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was none other than Jagdish Tytler. “Whenever Tytler’s name comes up, the horrific scenes of 1984 flash before our eyes. Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to hide Tytler behind him when cameras appeared once again proves that Congress has always harbored the culprits of 1984 within its fold,” said Pannu.
Speaking on the same issue, AAP’s senior spokesperson Neel Garg described Congress as the biggest hypocritical party in the country. He said that Congress’ politics is of “one face in public, another agenda in hand.” On the one hand, they talk about justice, and on the other, they share stages with the accused of the 1984 Sikh massacre, one of the world’s worst tragedies. Including people like Jagdish Tytler in their events is nothing less than rubbing salt on the wounds of Sikhs.
Targeting the central leadership of Congress, Neel Garg said that Congress must clarify today whether it stands with the murderers or with justice. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge must make their stand clear. In particular, Rahul Gandhi must, without any delay, fold his hands and apologize to the entire Sikh community and the people of Punjab for this shameful act.
