Congress leaders hurt Sikh sentiments by placing their photos above Guru Sahiban's: Sherry Kalsi

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi strongly condemned the Congress leaders for placing their own photos above the pictures of Guru Sahibaan on stage banner during an election rally in Tarn Taran, calling it a blatant act of disrespect towards the Guru Sahibaan.
Sherry Kalsi said that the Congress Party has always displayed its narrow-minded and disrespectful attitude towards the Sikh Panth and the revered Guru Sahib. The incident that occurred in Tarn Taran once again exposes the Congress and its leaders’ poor mentality towards the Sikh community. He said that for the Congress, neither the Sikhs nor the Panth hold any significance, they only pretend to show respect for the Guru Sahib for the sake of votes.
In his statement, Kalsi reminded that history stands witness to how the Congress, during its rule, attacked Sri Akal Takht Sahib and other sacred Gurdwaras. “By disrespecting the picture of Guru Sahibaan during their election event, the Congress has once again proved that it still carries the same anti-Sikh and anti-Panth mindset,” he said.
The AAP Working President demanded that the Congress Party immediately apologize for this shameful act. He said that the Congress leadership should publicly seek forgiveness from the entire Nanak Naam Leva Sangat and the Sikh Panth across the world for committing this grave sin.
