Corona Cases Rise in Punjab; Mask Up in Crowded Places, Says Government

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Corona cases are increasing once again across the country. Keeping this in mind, the Punjab government has also issued guidelines. A new advisory has been issued by the Health Department, in which especially the elderly, pregnant women, children and health workers have been advised to wear masks.
Amid rising cases of Corona, Punjab government issued advisory, advised to wear masks: The advisory issued by the Punjab government states that the use of masks is mandatory in crowded places. Apart from this, people have also been appealed to maintain personal hygiene. On the other hand, if someone has complaints like cough or fever, then he should stay in isolation and get treatment and avoid contact with others.
The Punjab government has directed health workers to be extra vigilant and ensure regular use of masks and sanitizers. People have also been instructed to cover their mouths while coughing or sneezing, wash hands frequently and be cautious in public places.
Although the state government has not yet imposed any restrictions or measures like lockdown, additional steps may be taken in the coming days if the infection rate increases. The government says that the situation is completely under control, but precaution is the only protection. Therefore, the general public is being appealed for cooperation.
