Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received a significant boost ahead of the Tarn Taran by-election as dozens of families from village Khair Dinke joined the party, giving a major setback to the Shiromani Akali Dal. The new members were warmly welcomed into the AAP fold by Punjab Working President and MLA Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, party leaders Parminder Singh Goldy and Harchand Singh Barsat.

Prominent among those who joined AAP were the brother of Amrit Singh Sarpanch and son of Sukhbir Singh, along with Jaswinder Singh Jassi Saba, Karam Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Rajinder Singh, Jashandeep Singh, Narinder Singh, Angrej Singh, and Bittu. All of them left the Akali Dal and pledged their full support to AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu in the upcoming by-election.

Welcoming the new members, AAP Punjab Working President Sherry Kalsi said that their decision to join AAP is a reflection of the growing trust among the people of Tarn Taran in the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the honest politics of the Aam Aadmi Party. He said, “The people of Punjab are rejecting traditional parties that looted the state for decades. Every new joining is strengthening AAP’s mission to build a cleaner, more prosperous Punjab.”

Parminder Singh Goldy said that the ongoing campaign is witnessing an overwhelming response from the people in every village. “Wherever we go, people are coming forward with enthusiasm to support AAP. The writing on the wall is clear, AAP will register a huge victory in the Tarn Taran by-election,” he asserted.

Echoing similar views, Harchand Singh Barsat said that the Akali Dal has become completely irrelevant in Punjab’s political landscape, and its remaining supporters are now aligning with AAP, which has emerged as the only credible and people-centric political force in the state.

The leaders welcomed all new members into the party and urged them to spread AAP’s message of transparent governance and grassroots development across Tarn Taran to ensure a historic win for Harmeet Singh Sandhu.
