Nawanshahr (The Uttam Hindu): Former Congress MLA from Banga, Chaudhary Tarlochan Singh Sundh, passed away due to a heart attack while campaigning for the Tarn Taran by-election. His sudden demise has left the political community in deep shock, especially among Congress workers and supporters.


Chaudhary Tarlochan Singh Sundh was a prominent leader from Punjab’s Scheduled Caste community and a respected figure in the Banga constituency. Known for his strong grassroots connect and commitment to social reforms, he played a significant role in improving education and welfare initiatives during his political career.


A two-time MLA from Banga, Sundh had lost the last assembly election to Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi but remained active in state politics. He also served as the state vice president of the Congress Party, continuing to work for the people till his final moments. His passing marks the end of an influential political journey dedicated to public service and social upliftment.
