Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh undergoes surgery, Anil Vij inquires about his condition

Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): Former Punjab Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Captain Amarinder Singh was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali on Monday. The 83-year-old veteran leader was brought to the hospital for medical treatment related to his knee. According to sources, this was a pre-scheduled procedure under which he is undergoing treatment. Currently, his condition is stable and doctors are continuously monitoring him. The hospital administration has described his health as satisfactory.

The surgery was done in May 2023

This isn't the first time Captain Amarinder Singh has had to visit the hospital due to knee problems. He previously underwent successful knee replacement surgery at the same hospital in Mohali in May 2023. He has now been admitted again for follow-up and treatment. It's worth noting that Amarinder Singh has come a long way in politics. Once a prominent Congress leader, he left the party after the party high command appointed Charanjit Singh Channi as Chief Minister and later joined the BJP.

Anil Vij reached the hospital and met him

Upon receiving the news of the former Chief Minister's hospitalization, Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij visited the hospital to inquire about his health. Anil Vij met Captain Amarinder Singh, inquired about his health, and wished him a speedy recovery. Vij also spoke with doctors during the visit. Other BJP leaders also inquired about Captain Amarinder's health over the phone.
