The incident took place in the New Sant Nagar area of ​​Haibowal police station area, where an argument between husband and wife escalated to such an extent that in a fit of rage, the husband attacked his wife with a sharp weapon kept in the house. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The deceased's daughter, Rinki, told the police that this was her mother's third marriage. Guddi had a court marriage with Manoj Kumar about four years ago. There were frequent disputes between the two since their marriage. Manoj would often quarrel over not having children and would also doubt his wife.

According to the daughter, the accused husband had threatened to kill her mother several times. On the day of the incident, the dispute escalated into a violent incident, and Manoj attacked her. Rinki said she was informed that her parents were injured and admitted to the Civil Hospital. By the time she arrived, her mother had died. The accused, Manoj, also sustained injuries during the attack and received treatment. Based on the statement of the deceased's daughter, the Haibowal police station has registered a case against the accused, Manoj Kumar, under Section 103 of the IPC (murder). Police officials say that every aspect of the case is being investigated, and the accused is being interrogated.
