Husband Kills Wife’s Lover in Ludhiana After Befriending Him; Slits His Throat After Making Him Drink Alcohol

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Panic spread in Punjab’s Ludhiana after the body of a young man was found stuffed in a sack, drenched in blood. The deceased was identified as Manish, an unmarried resident of Ludhiana. Police found bullet wounds on his chest and deep cuts on his throat, indicating a brutal murder. The body was sent to the Civil Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.

According to Manish’s brother Ashwini Kumar, the victim had been working in a local button manufacturing factory for several years. About six months ago, Manish began an affair with a married woman from the same factory. Although the family was unaware of the relationship, his friend Manoranjan knew about it.

On October 27, Manish left home for work but never returned. When his family couldn’t locate him, they questioned his friend Manoranjan, who revealed that Manish was in touch with a married woman originally from Sitamarhi, Bihar. The family then went to the police to file a missing person report, where they were shown a photo of Manish’s blood-soaked body. Suspicion immediately fell on the woman’s husband.

Family members alleged that the woman’s husband killed Manish after intoxicating him with alcohol. When the family reached the accused’s residence, he panicked and fled the scene. As per Manoranjan’s statement to the police, the accused first sent his wife to her village, then befriended Manish. He invited him home, offered him food and liquor, and during a heated argument, shot him twice in the chest and slit his throat. The next day, Manish’s body was found dumped in a sack by the roadside in Kasabad area.

Police have launched an intensive search operation to arrest the absconding accused.
