Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu) : A commotion erupted in the Basti Jodhewal area of ​​Ludhiana when an improvised explosive device (IED) was recovered from a bag shop. The suspicious bag had been left by a customer four days earlier. The shopkeeper alerted the police when he smelled petrol from the bag on Wednesday night. Police have detained two suspects.

Shop employee Sunny said the suspect arrived wearing a mask. He selected a briefcase and said he would return shortly. He claimed the box contained a children's car. The man gave the shopkeeper 500 rupees in advance and left the shop. About four days later, when a smell of petrol emanated from the shop, the police were informed. They found petrol pouches and some wires in the bag. The police seized the suspicious items. Police are currently investigating the suspect's identity and his network.

Police investigations revealed 5-6 liters of petrol, batteries, wires, and a dialer in the bag. The bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, confirming the presence of explosives. Police have detained two suspects in the case, who were allegedly learning bomb-making techniques from YouTube. Commissioner Swapan Sharma held a meeting with DCP Harpal Singh and CIA teams and directed them to review CCTV footage from the entire area. The shopkeeper is also being questioned.
