Instead of Answering Questions on PM’s Degree, BJP Misusing ED to Intimidate AAP Leaders: Dhaliwal
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab strongly condemned today’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at the residence of senior party leader and former Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj. AAP MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the raid is nothing but a political conspiracy by the BJP and the Modi government to divert attention from the controversy surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree.
Dhaliwal said, “The ED has raided Saurabh Bharadwaj’s house in connection with a 2018-19 case. But at that time, Bharadwaj ji was not even a minister in the Delhi government, nor did he have any link with this matter. This raid has been carried out only because yesterday the Delhi High Court case once again brought PM Modi’s fake degree into public debate. People across the country are asking why the Prime Minister is hiding his degree.”
He added that if Narendra Modi indeed studied at Delhi University, the university should proudly display his degree publicly, instead of concealing it. “A degree is something to be shown with pride. If it exists, why is it not being shared with the people of the country? By refusing to do so, they are only proving that the Prime Minister’s degree is fake,” he said.
Dhaliwal further stated that the BJP is repeatedly misusing central agencies to intimidate and harass AAP leaders. “They tried this earlier with our senior leaders including our National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain and Sanjay Singh, framing them in false cases. But like in Jain’s case, where after two years the CBI itself admitted in court that no evidence was found, this raid on Saurabh Bharadwaj will also yield nothing,” he added.
The AAP MLA made it clear that such tactics will never succeed in weakening the party. “I strongly condemn today’s raid. Let the BJP use as many tricks and agencies as it wants, but AAP will not be scared or silenced. In fact, the more they try to suppress our voice, the stronger we will rise. The BJP is only exposing its own fear of AAP’s growing influence across the country,” Dhaliwal said.
