Jalandhar Police take action against fake Atishi video, FIR lodged

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): "Jalandhar Police Commissionerate has issued a statement today that the FIR has been signed against the complaint of Iqbal Singh concerning the uploading and circulating edited and doctored videos of Atishi, MLA, LOP, Delhi Vidhan Sabha.”

Many different social media posts have cited a short video clip Letting Atishi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly make derogatory and irreligious comments against the Gurus alongside inciting captions.

The representative has elaborated that the research work has been carried out in a scientific manner and has provided such evidence to the court that the video where Atishi speaks was taken from the social media account of Kapil Mishra and forwarded to the Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Punjab, SAS Nagar for a forensic analysis.

In case you are not aware, Kapil Mishra is a minister in the Delhi cabinet. He is given the handling of Law and Justice, Labour, Employment, Art and Culture, different Languages, and Tourism departments.

The Video Forensic Report from 09-01-2026 has revealed that Atishi never said the word “Guru” in her audio that is contained in the video clips that are being circulated on social media. In addition, there has been a concerted effort to manipulate the video to make it look like Atishi had spoken words in the captions that she had never said.
