Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Regional Transfer Authority (RTA) officer Ravinder Singh Gill (55) of Jalandhar, Punjab, died suddenly. His body was recovered from the bathroom of his flat in Jalandhar Heights. According to information received from the police, RTA Ravinder Singh Gill was living in his flat in Jalandhar Heights. When he did not come out for a long time on Monday morning, his driver and gunman became suspicious. After this, the bathroom door was opened and Ravinder Singh Gill was found lying unconscious.

The police team reached the spot, took the body in their custody and started investigation. Chowki incharge Surjeet Singh said that initially it seems as if he had a heart attack. He said that the cause of death will be known after the postmortem report comes. Police is investigating all the aspects. At present, the police has sealed the flat. No outsider is allowed to go there.

Ravinder Singh Gill was previously a motor vehicle inspector in Bathinda. After receiving a promotion, he was posted to the Chandigarh head office. He was recently given additional charge of the Jalandhar RTA. According to information received from the family, Ravinder Singh Gill has two sons, one of whom had married just a few days ago. Police have sent the body for a postmortem examination, and further action will be taken after the report is received.
