Khuddian to Tarn Taran's voters: Support the party that stands with farmers and care about Punjab's environment

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian today lauded the remarkable achievement of Punjab’s farmers in reducing stubble burning incidents by an unprecedented 85%.
Khuddian said this transformation is the result of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s visionary leadership and the hard work of Punjab’s farmers, who have turned an environmental challenge into an opportunity for innovation and income. “Punjab’s farmers are not just growing crops anymore, they are growing solutions,” Khuddian said, referencing the central government’s recent praise for Punjab’s success.
Under the Mann government, paddy straw is now being used as biomass fuel for thermal plants, creating additional income for farmers while reducing pollution levels across North India. “By supporting farmers with machinery, awareness campaigns, and market linkages for crop residue, the AAP government has proven that environmental protection and agricultural growth can go hand in hand,” he added.
Khuddian appealed to Tarn Taran voters to stand with the government that delivers real results. “Tarn Taran must vote for the politics of progress, not pollution. A vote for AAP is a vote for the farmer, for clean air, and for a prosperous Punjab,” Khuddian said.
