Ludhiana grenade attack plot foiled: 10 ISI agents arrested

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu) - The Ludhiana Commissionerate Police has busted an ISI-Pakistan-backed grenade attack module and arrested 10 key operatives of foreign handlers. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused were in contact with Pakistani handlers through three Malaysia-based handlers to coordinate the pickup and delivery of grenades.

He said the operatives were tasked with carrying out grenade attacks in populated areas to incite unrest in the state. DGP Gaurav Yadav shared details of the case on X. He said the Punjab Police is committed to eliminating terrorism and dismantling cross-border terrorist networks to ensure peace and security in Punjab. Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma will also hold a press conference today regarding the matter.
