Major Setback for Akali Dal: BC Wing District President Sarwan Singh Munim Joins AAP Along with Supporters

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): In a significant political development, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) suffered a major setback as Amritsar's BC Wing District President Sarwan Singh Munim joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with his supporters.


Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted them into the party in the presence of Majitha constituency in-charge Talbir Singh Gill.


Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that people across Punjab are placing their trust in AAP’s pro-people policies and transparent governance. He stated that leaders and workers from other parties are increasingly joining AAP, impressed by the government’s work in sectors such as education, healthcare, and public welfare.


On this occasion, several leaders from Chawinda Devi in the Majitha constituency also joined AAP. These included Narinder Singh, Kulwant Rai Sunder, Vijay Kumar Bhandari, Harmeet Singh, and Parmjeet Singh Prem.


Sarwan Singh Munim expressed confidence in the leadership of Bhagwant Mann and said that he was inspired by the AAP government’s commitment to honest governance and development. He assured that he, along with his supporters, would work diligently to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
