Major setback for Shiromani Akali Dal as dozens of Akali families, inspired by Sarpanch Happy, join AAP

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): During the ongoing by-election in the Tarn Taran Assembly constituency, the election campaign of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu received a massive boost today when dozens of families joined AAP, delivering a major setback to the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Inspired by the motivation of Satinder Singh Happy, the current Sarpanch of village Swargpuri, all these families bid farewell to the Shiromani Akali Dal and announced their decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu warmly welcomed all the families into the party. Sandhu said that people are leaving traditional parties, being inspired by the pro-people policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He assured that all families joining the party will be given full respect and honor, adding that their inclusion has made the party’s victory certain.
