Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's government has taken another major decision for farmers. The government is providing significant relief to farmers by continuously purchasing paddy. The Chief Minister has clearly stated that every grain of the farmers' crop will be procured. This time, there have been no disruptions in paddy procurement. Farmers' crops are being procured rapidly at government procurement centers. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given strict orders to officials to ensure that the procurement process continues without any interruption. To this end, adequate procurement agencies have been deployed. Thousands of procurement centers have been opened across Punjab. Adequate staff and facilities have been provided at these centers. The government has ensured that there are no shortages at any procurement center.

The Mann government has made special arrangements to monitor the procurement centers. Officials have been ordered to inspect the procurement centers daily. If any farmer has any problem, it should be resolved immediately. Control rooms have been set up at the district level where farmers can register their complaints. The government has also ensured that farmers do not face any difficulties at the procurement centers. Water, shade, and seating facilities have been provided. Most importantly, farmers are receiving full payment on time. Money is being deposited directly into farmers' bank accounts within 48 hours of selling their paddy. Previously, farmers had to wait for months. This system is proving to be a major relief for farmers.

The government has further strengthened the digital payment system. This has freed farmers from the hassle of cash transactions and ensured transparency by transferring money directly into their bank accounts. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has promised that not a single grain of farmers' produce will be wasted. The government will purchase every farmer's entire crop. Whether a farmer has one sack or hundreds of sacks, everything will be purchased. This has brought a wave of happiness among farmers, and they are farming with peace of mind.

The Mann government has paid special attention to small and marginal farmers. Previously, these farmers faced difficulties due to low harvests, but now they are receiving equal respect and facilities. This time, the procurement system is so smooth that there is no overcrowding in the markets. Farmers are comfortably coming to their fields to sell their produce. Previously, they had to stand in lines for days, sometimes even overnight, waiting for tractor-trolleys. Now, this problem has been resolved.

Token System Implemented at Procurement Centers

A token system has been implemented at procurement centers. Farmers can come at their own time and sell their produce quickly. The government has created an online portal where farmers can view their fields. This is saving farmers both time and effort. All work is being done transparently.

Farmers can check the status of their procurement on their mobile phones from home. Farmers can register themselves on the portal, view their crops, and receive payment information. This technological initiative has proven very beneficial for farmers.

Farmers say that this time they did not face any problems. The crop was sold on time and they received the money. The Mann government has fulfilled its promises. Ludhiana farmer Harpal Singh says, "This is the first time we haven't faced any problems. The entire process was carried out very smoothly." Farmer Balwinder Singh of Sangrur district says, "My crop was sold in two days and the money came in three. This is a huge achievement." Farmers say they have never received such a facility before. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, "Punjab's farmers are our food providers. They should receive the full price for their hard work. We will pay for every grain of the farmers' produce, and no farmer will be harassed. This is our commitment. The Punjab government stands with the farmers. We will continue to take steps to benefit them. The prosperity of farmers is the prosperity of Punjab." This move by the Mann government is being seen as a major relief for the farmers.
