Massive support for AAP in Tarn Taran: Dozens of youth join the party under the leadership of Shahbaz Singh

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received a major political boost in Tarn Taran today when dozens of youth announced their decision to join the party during a ceremony organized at the party’s main election office. AAP Punjab Working President and MLA Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, State General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman Dr. S.S. Ahluwalia, and Chairman Parminder Singh Goldy formally inducted all the prominent new members into the party.
Addressing the media, Sherry Kalsi welcomed youth leader Shahbaz Singh and his entire team into the party. He said that opponents often questioned Shahbaz Singh’s activism, but today he has proved his commitment to strengthening the party by bringing dozens of youth into AAP. He said that youth are the backbone of any political party. Those who joined included mainly Tajinderpal Singh Malli, Jugraj Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Harroop Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Nishan Singh, Baj Singh, Joban Singh, Simratpal Singh, Jashan, Roban, and Kirpan.
Encouraging the youth, Kalsi said that they should work with honesty. Citing his own example, he said, “I too joined the party inspired by its ideology and never made any demands to the high command. The party itself gave me responsibilities after recognizing my hard work.” He assured that in AAP, dedicated workers are given respect and responsibilities based on their performance, without the need to ask for them.
On this occasion, Chairman S. S. Ahluwalia said that today the youth of the entire Punjab are joining AAP because Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision is to steer young people away from drugs and towards sports grounds. He said that the previous governments misled the youth, but the AAP government is improving their future by building playgrounds, gyms, and providing sports kits in every village and ward. The initiative ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’ is the result of this very vision. He described Shahbaz Singh and Sherry Kalsi as “icons” for the youth and encouraged the entire team to spread the government’s policies to every household.
