Media delegation reaches Aizawl for week-long PIB exposure tour

Aizawl (The Uttam Hindu): A delegation of journalists from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh has arrived in Mizoram as part of a media tour organized by the Press Information Bureau from March 22 to 28. The group is being led by Dr Vikram Singh, Media and Communication Officer at PIB Jalandhar.

The delegation was welcomed in Aizawl by Dr Rajiv Laurembam from PIB Aizawl, who highlighted the importance of such tours in promoting dialogue and knowledge exchange among media professionals from different regions. He said the visit will help journalists gain a better understanding of development initiatives in the state.

During the tour, the journalists will visit key project sites including Sairang Railway Station and Thenzawl Solar Power Plant. They will also interact with state officials to learn about ongoing development work and government schemes being implemented at the grassroots level.

Dr Vikram Singh said the initiative provides valuable exposure to innovative development models and helps journalists broaden their perspective. The tour also aims to encourage exchange of ideas and understanding of cultural and socio economic aspects, strengthening national integration and balanced reporting.
