Deadly Blast Rocks Mohali's Industrial Hub: 2 Killed, Several Hurt, Area in Chaos

Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): A major accident occurred due to the explosion of an oxygen cylinder in a factory located in the industrial area of Mohali district in Punjab. Two people, Devendra and Asif, died in this explosion. Whereas, 3 people are reported to be injured. There is chaos in the area after the accident.
According to the information, the blast was so strong that the walls of the nearby houses shook and the roof of the factory has also suffered a lot of damage. Pieces of the cylinder were also found scattered up to 1 kilometer away. The place where the blast took place is an oxygen plant. It is learned that cylinders were being loaded here. Meanwhile, the cylinder suddenly exploded. During this, about 5 people were hit. DSP Harsimran Bal has confirmed the deaths. All the cylinders have been removed after the accident. This blast was so dangerous that the bodies of the deceased were blown to pieces. The factory in which the blast took place is running in the name of Hi-Tech Industry.
It is learned that this factory is very old. Oxygen cylinders are sent from here to all the government and private hospitals of the Tricity. Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, Mohali Deputy Mayor Kuljit Bedi and SDM Damanpreet Kaur reached the spot. At present, the exact reason for the blast is not clear.
