Pastor Ankur Narula sparks controversy, offers to convert for ₹25 lakh

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): A video of Jalandhar-based Pastor Ankur Narula is rapidly going viral on social media, in which he is seen making statements regarding religious conversion. In the video, the pastor is heard saying that he is willing to convert if he is given 25 lakh rupees. The video also mentions the distribution of money and the conversion of a large number of families.
In the video, Ankur Narula says that he and his family, along with many others, are ready to convert. Narula said that those opposing him call opposition a blessing. He said, "Give him 25 lakh rupees. Where can you get it?" He said, "Give me 20 lakh rupees and keep 5 lakh rupees. I will give you 10,000 families and you will become a millionaire overnight." He said that opposition does not affect him and it acts as fuel to propel a person forward.
This video comes just days after social activists Bhana Sidhu and Tejaswi Minhas burned an effigy of Pastor Ankur Narula. They accused him of spreading hypocrisy. Bhana Sidhu clarified that he is not against any religion, but will continue to oppose activities allegedly carried out in the name of religion.
