Police Uncover International Drug Ring, 5 Kg Heroin Seized, Foreign Hand Suspected

Moga (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab’s Moga Police have uncovered a major drug trafficking module, arresting three key smugglers and recovering 5 kilograms of heroin from their possession. According to DGP Gaurav Yadav, initial investigations indicate that the accused were in direct contact with foreign suppliers, raising strong suspicion of cross-border involvement in the drug trade.
The police operation was carried out following credible intelligence inputs about the movement of narcotics in the region. Officials believe the seized consignment was part of a larger network operating across international borders. An FIR has been registered at Sadar Moga Police Station, and teams are conducting further raids to trace other members of the network. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on organized drug smuggling in Punjab.
