Punjab Cabinet to hold important meeting tomorrow, CM Mann to join via video from hospital

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu)- All 23 districts of Punjab are in the grip of floods. Villages in more than 8 districts are still flooded with water up to 4-4 feet. Meanwhile, the state cabinet meeting is going to be held on Monday to discuss flood relief work.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will attend the cabinet meeting through video conferencing from Fortis Hospital, while the entire cabinet will be present at his residence. The meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Mann. Despite his ill health, he has decided to shoulder the responsibility amidst a disaster like flood. During this time, a team of doctors is keeping an eye on his condition. Chief Minister Mann has sent a message - "Serving the people is my biggest priority. Despite battling illness, I am available for the people of Punjab every moment."
Let us tell you that the Punjab Cabinet meeting has been called at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming on a Punjab tour on September 9. He will go directly to Gurdaspur. It is expected that he may also visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor during this time.
