Punjab Cabinet to Pay Homage at Gurudwara Shri Sis Ganj Sahib on 25th October

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Tarunpreet Singh Saund, announced on Wednesday that the Punjab government is organizing a series of events across the state to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The celebrations will begin on 25th October at the historic Gurudwara Shri Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi with Ardas (prayers).
Minister Saund stated that on this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, all cabinet ministers, and senior officials will pay obeisance at Gurudwara Shri Sis Ganj Sahib. The Chief Minister will also visit the martyrdom sites of Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji to offer tributes.
In the evening of 25th October, a grand Kirtan Darbar will be held at Gurudwara Shri Rakab Ganj Sahib. Throughout the month, large-scale programs will be organized to educate people about Guru Sahib’s life, teachings, and philosophy.
Minister Saund added that the Punjab government has also initiated major works to rejuvenate the sacred land of Khalsa at Shri Anandpur Sahib. Recently, five galleries commemorating Bhai Jaita Ji have been dedicated to humanity. The memorial spans 5 acres, with approximately 2 acres covered, and the construction area is around 3,200 sq ft.
As part of the martyrdom day celebrations, four Nagar Kirtans will be organized from 19th November to 22nd November, beginning from Srinagar.
