Punjab Crowned Champion at 22nd Senior National Kickboxing Championship with 66 Medals

Raipur (The Uttam Hindu)– Punjab’s men and women teams emerged as overall champions at the 22nd Senior National Kickboxing Championship 2025 held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Under the leadership of Association’s District Secretary and Coach Baldev Raj Dev, the Punjab contingent delivered an outstanding performance, clinching 22 gold, 18 silver, and 26 bronze medals — amassing a total of 66 points to secure the championship trophy.
The returning players were given a warm welcome by officials, members, and fellow athletes of the Kickboxing Association. Coach Baldev Raj Dev, Manager Krishan Chauhan, and Technical Advisor Somdutt jointly stated that the players made Punjab proud through their commendable achievements and brought honor to the Association and their families.
Maharashtra teams finished runners-up, while Tamil Nadu teams secured the third position. The champion teams from Punjab were felicitated by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, and the President of the National Kickboxing Association, Shri Santosh Agrawal.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that sports play a crucial role in the strength and health of the nation. He affirmed that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to providing all necessary support for organizing national-level sports events in the state. He also stressed the importance of properly utilizing the central government’s financial assistance provided to the states for the promotion of sports.
On this achievement, congratulations and best wishes were extended by the Association’s Patron Ms. Garima Singh (IRS), President Deepak Jindal, Secretary Kartar Singh Sahimbe (PSS), Treasurer Shiv Goel, Joint Secretaries Sanjeev Sharma and Kamal Anand, Technical Advisor Somdutt Surya, Advisor Gurdeep Singh Bawa, and Executive Members Gurdeep Kaur and Gurmangal Singh.
