Punjab DC offices in Gurdaspur, Muktsar evacuated amid bomb threats, police investigate ISKP link

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): A bomb threat has once again caused panic in Punjab. The administration was put on alert after receiving threats to bomb the DC offices in Gurdaspur and Muktsar. The DC offices in both districts were immediately evacuated, and a heavy police force was deployed. The entire area has been sealed and a thorough search operation is underway.
Police are using sniffer dogs to search for a possible bomb. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the threatening email was sent in the name of the Pakistani organization ISKP. However, no official statement has yet been issued by authorities in this regard. Police officials say that formal information regarding the situation will be shared only after the investigation is complete. According to police, information about the threatening email was received around 9:30 am.
It is worth noting that several schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Patiala have previously received bomb threats. Furthermore, court complexes in several districts, including Ludhiana, were also targeted. However, in all cases, no explosives were recovered during search operations.
