Punjab flood relief: Compensation distribution begins, CM mann announces key details

Amritsar (Uttam Hindu News) – The Punjab government has begun distributing compensation to those affected by the floods. The initiative began in Ajnala, where Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann personally visited and handed over compensation checks to those affected.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he had come to distribute compensation to more than 600 affected families. He added that these were not checks of 25 or 37 rupees, unlike the previous government, but rather the highest checks in the country, amounting to 20,000 rupees per acre. He added that the money has already been deposited into the accounts of many people. A total of 57 million rupees has been distributed to 52 villages in Ajnala.
CM Mann said that this is the first time in the country that any government has given the highest compensation amount of Rs 20,000 per acre to the affected families and farmers within 30 days after the loss.
