Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): In Punjab, 8 villages of Patiala district have been included into Mohali. Notification regarding this have been issued by the Punjab government. A proposal was passed in the Punjab Assembly recently in this regard. The villages of Patiala that have been included in Mohali include Manakpur, Kheda Ganju, Urna, Changera, Ucha Kheda, Gurditpura, Haditpura and Lahla villages.

As soon as these villages come in Mohali, people will get better facilities. Also, the price of their land will also increase. Because the circle rate of Mohali is very high. The demand to include these villages in Mohali was going on for a long time. After this, a letter was written to the Director of Land Records of Punjab regarding inclusion in Kapurthala. In the letter, the department has argued that a letter has been received in this regard from the MLA of the area, Neena Mittal. Keeping this demand in mind, the government has prepared a report of reorganization and written a letter to the Deputy Director (DC) of Land Records Jalandhar.
