Punjab Masters Badminton Championship Concludes Prize Distribution for 35+, 40+ and 45+ Categories at Faridkot

Faridkot (The Uttam Hindu): The ongoing Punjab Masters Badminton Championship at Baba Farid Indoor Stadium, Faridkot, is being organised by the District Badminton Association, Faridkot. The championship has witnessed enthusiastic participation from veteran players competing across age categories ranging from 35+ to 75+.

On Saturday, the prize distribution ceremony for the 35+, 40+ and 45+ age categories was successfully held. Dr. Baljit Kaur, Cabinet Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Punjab, graced the occasion and distributed prizes to the winning players.

Mr. Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, RTI Commissioner, Punjab, attended the ceremony as a special guest, while Sardar Kushaldeep Singh Gill, former MLA Faridkot, was also present to motivate and encourage the players.

The winners were felicitated with trophies, medals and special gifts in recognition of their outstanding performances. Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Lalit Mohan Gupta, Vice President, District Badminton Association, Faridkot, informed that special arrangements for breakfast and lunch were made for all participating players. He added that the players expressed satisfaction and appreciation for the smooth organisation and facilities provided during the tournament.

On this occasion, Advocate Lalit Mohan Gupta was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the District Badminton Association, Faridkot, and Baba Farid Badminton Club. The award was presented by Dr. Baljit Kaur, Cabinet Minister, Punjab, in recognition of his valuable contribution to badminton and sports promotion in the region.

The championship continues to serve as an important platform for promoting sportsmanship and active participation among senior badminton players across Punjab.
