Punjab Police gun down two terrorists; grenade, pistol and cartridges recovered

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu) – Police in Ludhiana, Punjab, engaged two terrorists in an exchange of fire. According to reports, the encounter occurred near the Ladowal toll plaza.
The police have recovered 2 hand grenades, 4 pistols and more than 50 cartridges from the spot. According to the information, a day before the police had caught terrorists from Haryana and Bihar with hand grenades. After interrogating them, their whereabouts were revealed. After which the police laid a trap to catch them. But when the police surrounded them, they started firing. After this the police also retaliated. In this, 2 terrorists were injured by police bullets. The condition of one of them remains critical. They have been admitted to the hospital. ADCP Sameer Verma has also reached the hospital.
Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma arrived at the scene immediately after learning of the encounter. He stated that this was a terrorist module operating with the support of Pakistan's ISI. They were planning to carry out a major incident.
