Punjab Police seize 12 kg heroin near border after drone movement alert

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab Anti-Narcotics Task Force (Border Range), in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), recovered 12.050 kilograms of suspected heroin near village Dalleke under Lopoke police station following inputs about drone movement. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around ₹60 crore in the international market.
Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Tuesday that a case is being registered in connection with the seizure. He added that preliminary investigations are underway to trace both forward and backward links using technical evidence and human intelligence. The DGP reaffirmed that Punjab Police remains fully committed to countering drone-based narco-smuggling and dismantling drug networks operating along the border belt.
