New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Traffic rules in Punjab … If you violate traffic rules while driving, then understand that your pocket is going to get lighter. So start following traffic rules before your pocket gets lighter. You will have to give up habits like jumping red lights, not wearing seat belts, not wearing helmets. People in Mohali did not give up these habits and the traffic police issued challans worth 1.5 crores in a week. Challans have also been issued to women not wearing helmets.


Traffic rules in Punjab ... Like Chandigarh, the government has started city surveillance and traffic management system in Mohali city to curb road accidents and deal with criminals. Under this, 13 thousand challans have been issued in a week whose value is close to one and a half crore. It is worth mentioning that recently the first phase of City Surveillance and Traffic Management System was launched in Mohali at Sohana Police Station located in Sector 79. Apart from Mohali, this scheme is also to be started in Jalandhar, Amritsar and Ludhiana.
