Sultanpur Lodhi/Kapurthala(The Uttam Hindu): Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh today reviewed the flood-affected areas at Sultanpur Lodhi.

On this occasion, Halqa Incharge Sajjan Singh Cheema and Additional Deputy Commissioner Varinderpal Singh Bajwa also accompanied him.

He visited the flood-affected areas at Mand Inderpur and also interacted with the flood-affected families. He assured that the Punjab government is standing with the flood-affected people with full strength and determination in this difficult time. He said that due to the floods in Punjab, there has been a huge loss to the crops and livestock of farmers as well as to the common people.

Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh also said that while the The Punjab government is providing compensation for the losses suffered by the people, the central government has also been appealed to announce a large-scale financial package to get the people of the state out of this difficult time and start life as normal again so that their suffering can be reduced by providing maximum compensation to the farmers.

He also said that whenever the country has faced any difficult time, Punjab has always been at the forefront and has made a valuable contribution in protecting the country and its people.

On this occasion, Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh also distributed relief materials to the flood-affected families.
