Rana Sodhi meets Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Discusses burning issues of Punjab
Ferozepur (The Uttam Hindu): Rana Sodhi met the Honorable Home Minister of India Shri Amit Shah and discussed important issues related to Punjab. Rana Sodhi said that he assured the speedy construction of the PGI hospital to be built in Ferozepur. At this time, the most serious issue was also discussed about the protection of life and property of the people of Punjab. He assured that all the issues are in his attention and will be resolved soon. Giving further information, Rana Sodhi said that the Home Minister is very serious about Punjab,and he understands every pain of Punjab well. He said that the Home Minister has assured him that various new projects will be started for Punjab in the coming time.
Home Minister Amit Shah said that Punjab is a border state, therefore its problems are also different. At this time, Rana Sodhi also openly discussed with the Home Minister about various activities in Taro Par. Rana Sodhi also explained the problems of the farmers farming on Taro Par land and demanded that the ownership of Taro Par land be given to the farmers there.
Apart from this, he also put forward the demand of increasing the notified area of Ferozepur Cantonment to0 Home Minister and said that the people of the civil area should be given maximum ownership rights. Apart from this, he also put all the information about the law and order in front of the Home Minister and demanded that the Central Government should pay special attention to the law and order situation in Punjab. He also put the demand of deploying paramilitary forces in Punjab because at this time, hooliganism has increased so much in Punjab that it is difficult for the common man to even walk on the roads and the Punjab Government is a silent spectator at this time.
Apart from this, he informed the Home Minister in detail about the damage caused during the floods in Punjab and demanded that a special crop survey and harvest inspection be conducted for the damage to the crops in Punjab and compensation be released to the farmers. The PGI hospital being built in Ferozepur should be constructed quickly and the hospital should be inaugurated as soon as possible so that the common people do not have to travel far and wide for better treatment. Rana Sodhi said that the Home Minister assured to fulfill all the demands as soon as possible.
