Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): A protest was organized today by the District Convenor of United Hindu Front, Ludhiana, Mr. Amandeep Bhanaut. The United Hindu Front expressed serious objection and demanded that 42 Muslim students listed in the recently issued admission list of Mata Vaishno Devi Medical College should be removed and qualified Hindu students should be given admission in their place. On this occasion, the chief guest, United Hindu Front’s National Spokesperson and Media Incharge, Mr. Mandeep Goyal said that since this institution is named after the holy Goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, Hindu students must be given priority in the admission process.

He said that across the country many Muslim institutions openly give priority to students of their own religion, but in Hindu religious institutions, the interests of Hindu students are often neglected, which is extremely unfortunate. The office bearers of the organization emphasized that such a policy is also against the principles of social justice and religious balance.

Mr. Mandeep Goyal further stated that in a recent judgment of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, it has been clearly mentioned that when a religious-cultural institution is funded and operated by donations from a particular community, then it becomes the responsibility of the state to protect the religious-cultural dignity and interests of that community. He said that the recent judgment of the Himachal Pradesh High Court should be implemented in all courts across the country.

Mr. Amandeep Bhanaut demanded immediate intervention from the Government of India, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, the Ministry of Health, and the Medical Council of India, stating that the 42 Muslim students should be removed from the admission list, qualified Hindu students should be granted admission in their place, the admission policy of the medical college should be redefined, and a rule should be established to give priority to Hindu students in Hindu religious institutions.

United Hindu Front District Ludhiana Convenor Mr. Amandeep Bhanaut warned that if this demand is not accepted soon, the organization will launch a major movement and public campaign.

On this occasion, Mr. Praveen Bansal (former BJP Assembly candidate) said that if people from the Muslim community become doctors in a medical institution funded by Hindu resources, they will come out as “merchants of death” for Hindu people.

Present prominently on the occasion were: Deepak Garg, Vipin Sood Kaka, Naresh Goyal, Shubham Goyal, Shivam Arora, Dipanshu Goyal, Rajendra Verma, Happy Arora, Manoj Garg, Pawan Sharma, Goga Behl, Tanishq Bhanaut, Eshan, Mohit, Rakesh, Dev, Devinder Behl, Jai Bhagwan Garg, Sanjay Gosain, Nitin Sondhi, Ajay Sharma, B.K.
