Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): The Mann government has ushered in a new era of education revolution in Punjab. This revolution is preparing students for the competitive environment of the future and enabling them to reach new heights in life. The state government has taken revolutionary steps in the field of education that are being praised across the country. Schools of Eminence are becoming the harbingers of a revolution in the education sector. 118 Schools of Eminence are being established in the state, on which ₹231.74 crore has been spent so far.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann says that these schools are a great start towards a brighter future for poor children. Regarding the facilities available at the Schools of Eminence, students are provided with free uniforms. Free bus service is provided exclusively for girls, ensuring that no girl is deprived of education. Recognizing that schooling alone is insufficient in today's times, the Schools of Eminence provide specialized coaching to students. These specialized classes include preparation for NEET, JEE, CLAT, NIFT and defense services. This initiative is empowering the youth of Punjab to compete globally and meet the challenges of the future. These efforts by the Punjab government have enabled students from government schools to achieve new heights of success at the national level.
According to data shared by the Chief Minister, 265 students from government schools have passed prestigious examinations like the JEE Mains, 74 passed the JEE Advanced, and 848 passed the NEET. This impressive performance proves that with the right guidance and facilities, the youth of Punjab can overcome any challenge. For the convenience of the children, the Punjab government has arranged free buses for children coming from faraway places to these schools.
This initiative of the Punjab government is being appreciated by the people of Punjab. Students receiving education from these schools are achieving great achievements in every field and bringing glory to the state.
