Special arrangements for devotees: Accommodation for 15,000 Pilgrims daily in ‘Chakk Nanki’ tent city

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): AAP candidate from the Tarn Taran by-election, Harmeet Singh Sandhu, addressed an important press conference today and announced that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to launch a grand and inspiring series of events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The programs will commence on October 25 in New Delhi and will extend across Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.
Harmeet Singh Sandhu informed that these sacred events will begin with an Ardas at the historic Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi on October 25. On the same evening, a grand Kirtan Darbar will commenced from Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib, where renowned Ragi Jathas from across the country will perform Shabad Kirtan.
Sandhu further stated that from November 1 to November 18, Light and Sound Shows depicting the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib will be organized in all districts of Punjab. Through these shows, the story of Guru Sahib’s unparalleled martyrdom will be conveyed to the public at large.
Nagar Kirtan from Srinagar to Anandpur Sahib
The series of events will also reach Jammu & Kashmir. On November 18, a grand Kirtan Darbar will be organized in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir). Following this, from November 19 to November 22, a massive Nagar Kirtan will commence from Srinagar and proceed through Jammu, Pathankot, and Hoshiarpur, finally reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib. This spiritual journey will serve as a sacred remembrance of Guru Sahib’s path of sacrifice.
Main Ceremonies from November 23 to 25
The main events will take place from November 23 to November 25 at Sri Anandpur Sahib, where the concluding samagams will be organized. Harmeet Singh Sandhu said that the Mann government has ensured that the story of Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice and teachings reaches every corner of the country and the world.
70 lakh Students to Learn About Guru Sahib’s Sacrifice
Emphasizing the importance of education, Sandhu informed that the Punjab government has undertaken a significant initiative, to educate 70 lakh students across Punjab about the life and sacrifice of Guru Sahib. This step will connect the younger generation with their glorious and inspiring history.
Appeal to Devotees Across the Nation and Abroad
AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu appealed to devotees and the Sikh community residing in India and abroad to participate wholeheartedly in these continuous and sacred ceremonies, so that the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib can be observed with utmost devotion and dignity.
He added that special arrangements have been made for the accommodation of devotees. At the ‘Chakk Nanki’ Tent City, facilities have been arranged for the stay of 15,000 devotees daily.
