Nitin Kohli’s Big Gift: Surya Enclave and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue to Be Handed Over to Municipal Corporation Soon

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Thanks to the consistent efforts of AAP Jalandhar Central in-charge Nitin Kohli, a major decision was taken in the meeting of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust (JIT) chaired by Ramanik Singh Randhawa. The Trust unanimously approved the handover of several development schemes, including 13.96 acres of Master Gurbanta Singh Enclave, 3.75 acres of Bibi Bhani Complex (adjacent to Guru Amardas Nagar – 51.50 acres), 70.5 acres of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue, and 170 acres of Surya Enclave to the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
All developmental works — water supply, sewerage, streetlights, and roads — in these colonies have been completed. The proposal for maintenance and transfer has been unanimously approved by the Trust and has now been forwarded to the Municipal Corporation for final approval.
This development comes as a major relief for residents of Jalandhar, as these colonies, previously under the Improvement Trust, will soon come under the administration of the Municipal Corporation. Nitin Kohli announced that he will visit the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation tomorrow to meet Mayor Vanit Dhir to expedite the formal approval process.
Kohli added that once the Corporation assumes responsibility, civic amenities like road repair, street lighting, and water supply will be ensured. The residents have welcomed this move, appreciating Kohli’s persistent efforts and commitment toward development.
Mayor Vanit Dhir also assured that the proposal would soon be tabled and passed in the House so that developmental work in these posh localities can begin without delay.
Prominent attendees included Harcharan Singh Sandhu, Atma Prakash Bablu, and other trustees of the Improvement Trust.
